A travel website launch that aims to tie the personal story into a destination is looking for part-time contributors for work on a continual basis. The right individual will likely already be an avid social networker, and will be capable of keeping an audience up to date on happenings in their world via Twitter, Facebook, and blogging.
Contributors will create featured content for the website, and will share parts of their life with readers. The contributor will be responsible for blogging and creating content that is engaging, interesting, and entertaining. The responsibilities are as follows:
-The contributor will be responsible for blogging at least two to three times a week. Content can be personal content, content about a location or event, or something entirely different.
-The contributor will weekly create a “feature” piece for the website, which will be an entry regarding a specific location in your city or an event, festival, etc. The feature piece will detail the contributor’s experience, and will be accompanied by photos or videos.
-The contributor will be responsible for creating a short video of at least 3 minutes in length twice a month. The video should feature destination footage…the video can be about whatever you choose: your neighborhood, quaint cafés in your city, weekend trips to the beach…your imagination (and your life!) is the limit!
-The contributor needs to be able to use Twitter several times throughout the day. Simple moments, personal thoughts, absolutely whatever goes (so long as it’s clean!). This Twitter account can be an existing personal account or a new account. The contributor will be responsible for responding to @replies for readers whenever possible.
Sound like an ideal job for you? The website is looking to launch in the next month or two, and you’ll be paid a base rate, plus performance-based pay. This is not an hourly position, but is rather a fixed-assignment. The right individual should be able to make a viable contribution to this site in two to three hours of work each week. Please bid on the starting base-salary. Note that this will not be a large sum initially, but will grow if you’re capable of returning results.
As the website develops, this position will evolve. We’d ideally love to provide for a travel budget that would allow you to explore the region around you, and perhaps even further! If you can show us the initiative in developing a relationship with us, and can deliver outstanding results, this could prove to be an exciting and valuable long-term position.
We are particularly interested in candidates from New York City and Sydney, Australia, though all are welcome to apply. This position is only open to a native English speaker.
